OINP Immigration Levels Plan (2023-2025)

Ontario is set to increase immigration through OINP as per the following projections:

The OINP operates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), working in collaboration with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This program identifies individuals who meet Ontario’s economic needs and nominates them for Canadian PR.

Note: The federal government of Canada makes the final decision on granting PR.

Important Updates

Ontario Discontinues the Entrepreneur Immigration Stream

Effective November 04, 2024, the Entrepreneur Immigration Stream will be closed. Previously submitted applications will still be processed under revised regulations.

New Requirement: Applicant Consent Form

From February 26, 2024, all OINP applications must include an Application Consent Form, signed by the applicant and their dependents (if applicable). Incomplete forms will result in application rejection.

PTE Core Accepted for English Proficiency

From January 30, 2024, PTE Core will be an accepted test for English language proficiency under OINP.
